Yesterday Rob
and I put on our Scotland rugby jerseys and headed to Murrayfield stadium
(about an hours walk from our flat) to watch another test match in the Six Nation's tournament- Scotland vs. Ireland! Scotland is the second worst team of the six nations, with Italy at the bottom, and Ireland is considered to be in the top three, with France and Wales as the other two contenders. We figured that Ireland would win, but we thought that Scotland would give them a good run for their money considering that they have something to prove, and the game was played on home turf.

acked, with tons of Irish citizens as well! Considering it costs about
10 pounds to fly here from Ireland, it's easy to see why so many came! There is no atmosphere like that of Murrayfield. It was amazing! When the teams came out, fire flamed, and sparks went off, and just before kick off, two fighter jets flew over the stadium. This was a much better game than the Scotland vs. New Zealand, as Six Nations is huge, and the teams were a little more evenly matched.

Scotland put up a great fight, and the majority of the game, the points on the board were just from penalty kicks on both sides. Finally in the last 15 minutes, Ireland broke away for a try- and the final score was 15-22 for Ireland.
We had great seats, down near the field this time, instead of up at the uppermost reaches of
the stands. We were just two of 67,800 people that packed the stadium, and we got chills when the national anthems were sung. Definitely would recommend going to another game in the future!!!! We weren't the only Canadians ther

Hope all is well at home! 9 days now until we set foot on Canadian soil!!!!
Lots of love,
Rob and Sarah
